Our rear bedroom was warm and decided to purchase a window unit to keep it cooler from the recent HOT weather. After installing the unit it stay real cool now, its a great AC unit.

I installed these in our log cabin which is a short term rental property and also a vacation home for us. I love the Wi-Fi connection because I can control all 6 of my AC units from one app. I can cool the house down before a new guests arrive and shut them down when they leave even though I live out of state. Total game changer for the comfort of my guests.

First off, this is the best price for an 8k BTU that I was able to find with wifi/app connectivity. I wasn't particularly looking for a wifi unit with an app, but luckily this one was the only 8k BTU unit at Lowes at that time. Otherwise, I would have missed out on the app features by getting a standard unit. The app is super easy to use and I actually find it much more useful than I expected. Note that this is a supplemental window unit to help keep my westward-facing living room cool in this hot Texas summer, so I adjust the temperature regularly to ensure it only comes on when the central HVAC is struggling to keep up. It puts out a good amount of cold air.

This brand new unit is noisier than the 27 year old unit it replaced. The vents rattle even though the unit is secure. When the compressor engages it sound like a freight train. If I hadn't paid so much to have it delivered and installed, I'd return it. It's brand new but noisier than the unit it replaced and noisier than the other two, much older window units in the house .

Installed this yesterday, our AC unit went down and we are waiting for repairs. I am in southeast Tx and of course the day the AC went down was the hottest day of the year so far 100 degrees.
This 8000 AC I bought after researching several units. The reading on this unit was good.
We put this unit in our Master Bedroom, 18x21.
With attached bathroom. It kept the bedroom very cool, through out the hottest time of the day and cold during the night.
So far very pleased with this unit and at a good price of 319.00.
Hope this unit lasts us, we only use them when central AC goes down.
We do have the 10,000 BTU as well and works great for our 23x21 living area with open floor plan. We just added two fans around the house to help circulate the air.

It's a good quite air conditioner only problem is you can't tell if it's on all lights go off. Nothing stays lite up so when energy save its silent an you have no idea if it's working till you press a button an the green lights come on very annoying. Simple fix just have power button stay green when on that way you actually know it's on

This air conditioner is amazing. It's gives amazing cool air and quickly cools my room in about 10 mins. I love the wifi feature which let's me put on my ac when entering the house so by the time I get to my room it is nice and cool. The app also let's you set automatic timers and see how much energy your using. I love the sleek modern look.

I really wanted to love this unit. Its a smart A/C and works with Alexa which I love, but it does not get cold enough. My bedroom is only 300 s.f. and it does not cool the room to the desired temperature. I had a Freidrich 6000 btu for several years in my bedroom that needed to be replaced and it cooled better than this 8000 btu unit that I replaced it with. I bought it at PC Richards and was thinking of returning it for a Freidrich. Needless to say I am very disappointed.

I'll be honest. I did not expect much from this air conditioner. First of all, the price was very reasonable . This is the main reason that I doubted it's ability to cool my studio apartment. I bought it because I thought if I used my tower fan to circulate/direct the air flow where I needed it. I'd be fairly comfortable. Well, it's almost a month since I purchased it and it worked excellent without using my fan!! It is quiet which is wonderful during the night. The settings are easily understandable and usable.
This was an excellent purchase that I am so happy with!!

The unit in eco mode is quite confusing.
Cools ok. Wifi does not work well if signal is more than 30 ft away. The web is full of problems with units electronic thermostat.
I think I have a similar problem but service dept is hard to get scheduled.

I was lucky enough to catch this product on sale at Lowes. It was exactly what I was seeking, a 120-volt AC with at least 8000 btu of cooling. The fact that it has wifi connectability was actually just a bonus (the app is minimally adequate for controlling a window unit). Easy to install and use... my only gripe would be that you cannot keep the LED readout on (as in to have it always showing the set temperature and/or to show the room's ambient temperature as well).

This is my second the purchase of a GE through the wall AC I live in South Florida and I use it everyday the first one lasted me 8 years and that's a long time for a window unit in South Florida I like this current model I downloaded some sort of free app and I control the temperature and the on-and-off functions with Alexa I say that because I suspect any AC with Wi-Fi could easily be controlled by Alexa I have additional temperature controls in my bedroom this unit stays within one or two degrees of the stated thermostat I don't mind at all but it is a bit noisy if you are a very light sleeper I can honestly say it will be too noisy for you but my other unit what's a bit noisy and I got very used to it so I like to listen to it as sort of like a white noise as I go to sleep I'm very happy with it me and a buddy of mine install it through a wall very easy to install if this matters to you at all after about 10 seconds the temperature settings and all of that are no longer illuminated

I like it a lot this actually my 2 window unit. It was easy to install, it cooled the room off pretty fast. It didn't make my light bill high. I had to replace the first one because we left it outside on the ground to long. We tore down our old house and got a new one. We had to by another window unit only because the central AC wasn't working when we moved in and we weren't going to be hot, until someone came. They took a couple weeks to do so. So this window saved us from being miserable.

After Hurricane Ida hit our area there were prolonged power outages and my generator would not run my 220 volt A/C's I had in the house. The heat and humidity was pretty intense in early September in New Orleans, so I opted to get a small room A/C to at least cool things down enough to be comfortable when indoors.
This unit was efficient enough to cool down an area 600 sq. ft. in the house that allowed for a good nights sleep and comfort during the hottest part of the day. After 3 days of relying on box fans, we had had enough of the oppressive heat and got this unit, and it did its job.

My home A/C unit went out and it's still mid to high 80's and 80% humidity. Pretty miserable sleeping conditions. Purchased my GE window unit, installed in 15 min, didn't even realized until I unboxed it was wifi capable. Better than I could have hoped. Been without center air for 3 weeks, but the GE units is killin it.
